SLIPPER DAY 2019 – NOT ALL HEROS WEAR CAPES

Spread the love

In just two days time we will be celebrating Slipper Day 2019. Not only am I excited to wear my cute green slippers but I am excited that I will be bringing awareness to such a beautiful concept.

Slipper Day will be on the 10th May 2019 (yes, this Friday!) and I can’t hold my excitement. This year will be my second time celebrating slipper day and what I loved last year was that we all get to embrace having good hearts and helping those that are in need.  Not only do my feet get to be warm and comfortable but my heart gets to be warm on the inside too.

Slipper Day is an annual initiative by Reach For a Dream that raises awareness as well as raises funds to help children with life threatening diseases. Reach For a Dream aims at making children smile and gives them that hope that all will be well.

Here’s how you can get involved:
To take part in Slipper Day 2019, all you need is a R10 wristband to wear your favourite slippers to school, work, university, gym, the shops or just around the house. You can purchase your wristband from any Pick n Pay, Wimpy or Dis-Chem store or any of our Reach For A Dream branches.
Wearing your R10 wristband and slippers will also get you a free coffee (or hot chocolate for kids under 12) from Wimpy on Slipper Day, 10 May 2019.

The Reach For A Dream Foundation has positively touched over 3 million lives. The fulfilment of these dreams inspires hope and courage in the dreamer and helps them believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for.
Please make sure to encourage your office, school, friends and family to take part in Slipper Day 2019.

Please visit Reach for a Dreams website www.reachforadream.org.za or contact Gift Mobe on +27 11 880 1740 to purchase your own funky pair of slippers to show off this Slipper Day 2019 and share your #SlipperDay2019 moments on social media.
